Server Flood

Someone is flooding the server which has taken down http while all other services are working normally

We are just working now to identify and block the culprit

I will be rebooting the server in a couple of minutes to kill the last of the rogue processes causing this issue

Services should return to normal shortly afterwards

Datacentre staff and ourselves are still working on the issue, unfortunately due to the random nature of syn flood attacks it does take a while to get them under control

As soon as i have more information i will update everyone

We have identified the IP which is being attacked and are re-iping the sites which are one it so we can then disable the target IP

The new IP for sites on the server will be 202.60.66.116

Apologies for the delay in updating everyone we have been flatout trying to block the attacks

The flood has been minimised and we now need to ride the rest of it out until the attacker gets bored and targets someone else

This sort of attack is rare and ive only seen one on a server ive been involved with in the 8 years ive been in the industry
