hello Steve

I received this e-mail question from a client this afternoon and was wondering your opinion on this issue.

I have a friend who wants to set up a website for his business so that he can have email functions for sending legal documents to his clients. The only problem is he is really paranoid about security. Is their anything you can tell me about who can read his email or any other security that will stop others from reading it?

If you know of some information I can read on the subject I would appreciate looking over it for piece of mind.

Using P G P would be the first place that I would look, but if you are aware of any other technologies for information that we can supply clients it would be much appreciated.

Dave

PGP is pretty much your best option as far as emails go. You can also look at obtaining a personal digital certifcate, which then identifies the sender.

Hope that helps

have also read briefly about virtual Private networks, which may be a little more than what is needed here but a really nice option.
