As some of you know the current hardware/software configuration we have been running this server on has had load issues since day 1
In order to permanently resolve this issue we will be migrating all clients on the Lake Mountain server to new hardware.
The new server is a Dell 860 PentiumD with 2Gb ram and SATA II drives. the server can take up to 16Gb ram if required in the future, so this new platform has plenty of capacity
We will also be upgrading all clients to Plesk 8.1.1 which is a major upgrade to the current control panel which will offer users a more stable environment and added functionality and features.
The server will also support MySQL 5 and PHP5 as part of the upgrade.
Michael and myself are currently preparing the new server and are testing Plesk's migration manager ready for the move.
once we are ready to make the switch, which at this stage is planned to be done within the next 2 weeks, i will update everyone with further details.
