PHP 5 and MySQL 5 Upgrade

As mentioned some time ago we are progresively upgrading all servers to PHP 5.x and MySQL 5.x

I have now scheduled the Upgrade for Perisher to take place on Sunday 4th June 2006 at 9pm.

At this time PHP and MySQL will be recompiled and brought uptodate.

While this upgrade doesnt affect everyone, some clients using older PHP scripts may need to check with their scripts developers for updates and or patches which may need to be applied.

Popular scripts known to be affected at this point include:

- Drupal
- osCommerce
- phpBB

You will find most script developers have updates available and i urge everyone to check for these.

PHP and MySQL upgrade is currently underway. There may be a few intermittent interruptions over the next hour while apache and PHP recompiles are completed

As in the cpanel it says PHP 4.xxxx

Apologies for the delayed response on this one.

An issue in CPanel's apache compiler was identified so we have held off on the PHP upgrade temporarily while we wait for a fix to be released. MySQL 5 has been installed however
