In the past we have made posts regarding insecure scripts and the need for you to constantly check and update any script you are running on a site

The reason for this is hackers spend their entire lives trying to find their way through scripts

It is for this reason any script author must constantly be updating their script to stay one step ahead

When you put a web site on the internet you have a responsibility to all

In particular this means the other people who have sites hosted on the same server as you

It is NOT sufficient to upload a site and then sit back for years and accept orders. emails etc through for example a formmail script on your site

As I have already mentioned these scripts are being constantly probed and exploited by hackers and spammers

It is for this reason the authors of scripts are constantly updating their "secure" version and posting them on their sites

It is YOUR obligation to constantly check that any script running on your site is the latest secure version

This includes (and I do not list them all) php, cgi, oscommerce, formmail etc etc

In other words anything you have installed on your site

As a result of people not doing this we have had to arbitrarily suspend a number of sites

We have done this without prior nortification to the sites' owners for the reasons stated above.

It is not our responsibility to see you have the latest and secure version of a script

It is our responsibility to ensure the integrity of a server for every other site hosted on it

If you find one of your sites is no longer accessible due to our actions please submit a ticket through the help desk

Please feel free to post any general queries or concerns here especially if you are unsure about what I am referring to above
