From what I understand the tmp/analog folder is a function of having the Analog statistics available. However, since this folder is now up to 35MB and I've got better things to do with that filespace, is there a way to either reduce the amount of space it uses or turn off Analog? I can use Webalizer or one of the other stats applications quite happily - my statistics are not *THAT* critical that I need both Analog (35MB) and Webalizer (12MB)...
The only information I've been able to Google is found at http://hdllc.net/forum/showthread.php?t=255 which suggests deleting folders but the language used makes it sound like this is not necessarily the best way to do it. Any alternative suggestions would be appreciated.

You can login to your CPanel and go to the stats configuration section and turn off whatever stats packages you dont require.
Personally i only use and prefer AWStats so on my own personal sites i have webalizer and analog turned off
If you turn them off its safe to remove the content from the /tmp/analog and /tmp/webalizer folders
If you want to keep the stats running but reduce the disk usage then just go into those folders and remove the archived past months usage files.
They are easily identifiable as there filenames contain the dates of each month

Oh sh bother! How did I miss that option? :-\ As soon as I read the "go in and turn them off" comment I was wondering how to do that since I'd been into the stats area and there was no ability to turn them off. Perhaps if my eyes had cast a little lower on the screen I would have noticed that icon which now seems horrifyingly obvious... :-[
I've now (1) turned off the stats packages and (2) deleted the folders. The "disk usage" icon shows the updated status when I click to have a look at specific folders. The main cPanel page still shows the same disk usage but I suspect it's just showing a cached view - refresh does not clear it but the fact I can see there's 35MB less in the folders is good enough for me. It'll update at some stage, I assume.
