View Full Version : Server Upgrade - Move

Due ti the ongoing issues at the datacentre where Daintree and Uluru are located we have made the decision to migrate these 2 servers across to the same datacentre where the newer Buller and Falls Creek servers are located to ensure better uptime and better routing to and from the servers, with far superior connectivity and backup routing options
In doing this the servers will also be upgraded to the same spec hardware as the Buller and Falls Creek servers being:
Intel Xeon 3.0Ghz
2Gb ECC Ram
Dual 80Gb SATA drives
Running Centos 3.6 and the latest CPanel
We are currently sourcing the hardware with an aim to have the servers migrated before Christmas
As we are moving datacentres the servers will need to be re assigned new IP blocks and all customers and resellers with dedicated IP's will be assigned new IP's at that time.
We would envisage a farily smooth transition between the 2 datacentres with the process probably taking around 24 to 48 hours per server
There should be no downtime during this excersise.
I will post more information on the move as we get things organised.

The server move is now finally underway. All resellers are being moved individually with all general hosting customers to be moved after this
As each reseller is completed the dns on the old server will re-route thru to the new server so that no downtime will be experienced.
I will at this point send out a new welcome email to each reseller that has their own nameservers with the new IP assignments
If anyone has any general queries please let us know in the forums or for account specific queries please lodge a ticket at the helpdesk

Server move is progressing nicely so far...
A new welcome email has been sent out to all resellers with private nameservers and customers who have dedicated IP's with new nameserver and IP information.
For all customers and resellers using the servers own nameservers these have now changed to:
ns5.myserverdns.net [202.60.66.180]
ns6.myserverdns.net [202.60.66.181]
If you use the IP address to access the server or your site please be sure to update your information.
A general email will be sent out once the move is complete with this information on it.
If anyone has any queries or problems with the move please drop in a ticket to the helpdesk

All clients are now transferred to the new server.
We will be re-installing SSL certificates shortly.
Please ensure any sites on dedicated IP's are up and running.
If anyone has any queries or problems with the move please drop in a ticket to the helpdesk

All that will then be left is migrate Fantastico, which will occur as soon as their developers switch our IP licence over to the new IP
If you notice any Perl modules or rpm's your sites require missing, or any issues with your sites please drop in a ticket to the helpdesk so we can address these
All customers should login to webmail on the old server via:
http://202.125.41.126:2095 using their email address and password or cpanel username/pass (for the catchall account)
There may be emails in there from between 12am and 6am AEST today (29th December) which did not come across with the migration.
These emails and all site data will remain online for a period of 1 week only so please ensure you check them as soon as possible

Hi Steve,
I'm trying to setup Shared SSL for the admin side of my Zencart shop.
( I have a reseller account)
define('HTTPS_SERVER', 'https://secure5.myownserver.net/~ozetrad');
define('HTTPS_CATALOG_SERVER', 'https://secure5.myownserver.net/~ozetrad/public_html');
I even tried:
https://secure5.myownserver.net/home/ozetrad/public_html
......without success. Has something changed?
My content is in /shop
