All network connections will be back online in a few minutes time

The datacentre has switched back to their main routing equipment which has caused the brief interruption this afternoon.

Im hoping this has now resolved the issue.

We will be keeping a close eye on the situation and will keep everyone posted

The datacentre has now given out an official notice of whats happening

08:07 AM - Denial of Service Attack
At approx 4am QLD Time we have again been attacked by a Distributed Denial of Service (DDOS).

We are currently working with the Optus N.O.C. to resolve this issue as a matter of urgency.

The datacentre are goign to put in a Snort Box (http://www.snort.org) in order to try and stop these attacks once and for all. This should be inplace in about an hour or so. Routing is online currently but may be a bit flakey until then

Angus has just been updated on the new servers and they are already at the courier so we may have them tomorrow (coming from Sydney) If that is the case we can get stuck into them earlier.

I will post info on the this in the discussion about the server move so as to not confuse everyone

the datacentre is switching the BGP routes back to the normal service. It should take about 5 to 10 minutes and according to Gareth at the datacentre everythin should be ok from now on.
