Customizing CPanel

Hi All.....
Right... here is my next question....

I now have my account fully setup after a few hitches on my behalf (DNS Misunderstanding when Signing up :-/ )
I now have access to the WHM & CPanel, i am still tring to get used to having restricted access to the server (ie i am used to haveing Full Root access to my VS's, this is a very diff setup to what i am used to :-/ ) But now i can offer the use of the CPanel to my clients/users.
So my question is:-
Can i alter the Look/Feel/Thems behind the CPanel.
The reason being, There are some features i would like to offer my users from the CPanel and there are some custom scripts i have that i would also like to use, that are not offered by CPanel. I also think some of the SOHO user i am gona be offering services to might find the CPanel interface a bit intimidating.
If i cant change the CPanel offered by Alpine can i install & use my own server control softwear ?

We will have a tarball of the two current CPanel's packaged up shortly, the current CPanel is new and is still being adjusted, as were working on language packs for it. We will post a link here soon.
